<<He looks for earnings per share of $2.51 in 1999 (up from his prior forecast of $2.17), $3.38 in 2000 (up from his prior $3.25) and $4.73 in 2001....The analyst expects Qualcomm's wireless technology will expand at 51 percent a year over the next five years-the fastest rate among companies competing in the market.>>

James: Thought it would be interesting to compare your projected numbers for Qcom with the following projection for Uniphase, which closed Fri. at 63 1/2:

UNPH: WARBURG DILLON has reiterated estimate for fiscal year
ending 06/99 of $1.20 on 12/01/98
UNPH: WARBURG DILLON has reiterated estimate for long term EPS
growth of 35.00% per year on 12/01/98
UNPH: WARBURG DILLON made new estimate for quarter ending
12/98 of $0.26 on 12/01/98

Your Qcom numbers:

<<He looks for earnings per share of $2.51 in 1999 (up from his prior forecast of $2.17), $3.38 in 2000 (up from his prior $3.25) and $4.73 in 2001.

The analyst expects Qualcomm's wireless technology will expand at 51 percent a year over the next five years-the fastest rate among companies competing in the market.>>

SMHWWTHIGO (scratching my head wondering what the hel! is going on).
