Skeeter, one difference between now and 1996 is that the PE of the overall market is higher, which in turn has been caused by slow economic growth, low inflation, and low interest rates. Do you think those factors are going to change for the worse any time soon?

No. 6 months ago, AMAT was about 60% off it's high. Since the market is a discounting mechanism, the recent rise we have witnessed from the lows implies a belief that there is a turnaround in the works. The last 2 BTB's seem to corroborate this fact.
