Yousef, As you imply, Intel takes AMD very seriously, and has been forced to this premature maneuver which will truncate the lifepan of it's chips in order to crush AMD.
Faint hope though, as AMD still seems to be surviving and getting bigger share. When will that fast celeron comeout in a socket 370 socket? At that point they will be able to damage AMD far more effectively.
One also wonders if AMD will deepsix their Alpha based slot 1 schema now that small fast cache can be made on chip, negating the entire slot 1 schema?
