<<<<Okay, explain the chain of events that leads from anything Clinton has been accused of
to the overthrow of our system of government.>>>>>>

OK: How about lying under oath to a court and getting away with it.
Now if BC can get away with it, why shouldn't I be able to lie under oath and get away with it?

BANG!!!!! If you let me get away with it that is the end of our court system and then comes the end of our system of government.

Please explain the faults in this line of reasoning.

Thanks daverose

Leading to the overthrow is not the sine qua non in play here. A breach of the public trust, ie, failure to uphold his oath of office, affirmative lying to the American people, committing felonies from the WH and using his office to conceal them, etc. are all serious matters. The rule of law is what has made this country and our culture unique. It must be vindicated. The bar can not be lowered in this manner. When people have no respect for justice and our justice system, chaos is bound to ensue. JLA
