Skeeter - First, my standard disclaimer: I stink at short term predictions. That said the Fed is in a bind, caught between the obvious asset inflation and the economic slow-down. But in the end I suspect you are right that they will do nothing until the leading economic indicators indicate a slow-down or there is some other quantifiable sign of economic dislocation (like the divergence in interest rates that happened in October).

Skeeter Bug: Any guesses on how low it will go when (and if) if it pulls back later this week? Will it fill Friday's gap and fall to 41.56, or will it make an attempt to stay around 43 or 44? It seems weak today, considering the strength of the market.

Friday's move up was somewhat similar to the jump up on 8/17, when the price tried to rise again to the recent high. That jump was followed by one higher day, and then the price started trending down again. Will AMAT start moving down again tomorrow or try to break above 47? Anyone have a crystal ball?
