There are other ways to get around campaign fundraising. Democrats have unions and other organizations to air "issue " ads. Everyone knows they're not mean to favor any party. Wink. Wink. They run those ads mostly in close races. We already saw the money laundering going on between the Teamsters and the DNC. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

The Senate may not be happy with it. But the open hostilities with the administration were primarily in the House. It's somewhat like the House of Commons as compared to the House of Lords (Senate). The Senate already has several members on both sides with censure deals but they have several members on both sides who want a trial to satisfy the formality. Perhaps they want to be on television.

<<<Republicans have all the money, though.>>>

Yeah, just ask any of the Hollywood elite...

<<<As to the market rally, maybe it has something to do with the massive backpedaling by Senators not entirely pleased with the hot potato being tossed their way>>>

Translation:
"Never let reality sway your world view."

Daniel, res <<<Republicans have all the money, though.>>>

Did you know that factually the Democrats have far more millionaires and multimillionaires in Congress than the Republicans do?

No sense letting facts cloud your already deeply rooted assumptions though huh Daniel? :-)
