Do you shut down every day?

Reboots are for hardware upgrades, as far as I'm concerned.

Mr. B -
FWIW, I run NTW on my most used desktop, and routinely have 30 or 40 windows open, sometimes a lot more. I reboot maybe every 90 days, not more than that... This is on a CPQ 6000 professional workstation w/128K so not too much swap activity (typically 30-40 faults/sec).
BTW also have a very messy desk. Also am lazy...<gg>

I do. Win9x systems seem to slow down the longer they stay on.

I don't notice this when using NT4 or Linux (Red Hat 5.1) but I shut down anyway I guess due to force of habit.
