Thanks for both the answers. I am still trying to decide which way to go on LU and a couple of friends of mine are share holders. All the PE ratios these days scare me but that has very little to do with shorting or buying a stock it seems. I can definitely see where the advertising has helped INTC with it's PR. I guess I am just a little wary of it after seeing what a large ad campaign can do to a stock price after seeing what IOM's old CEO did to the stock price with a large ad campaign. IOM is just now coming out of it and I believe they started their breakout today but that is another story.

Regarding LU, is there any speculation on why they may be selling off their cellular division and what the money will be used for. Possible acquisition into another area such as internet possibly?

"Besides, if there was no payoff then Intel, Lucent,"

You can go out and buy an Intel product. I think Intel's advertising is a must. I do see the point being made by the originator questioing LU ads, they make me want to go buy a what?? the stock actually.
