Eddie, if we could have worn our white uniforms, and if the refs hadn't cheated, and if we would have guarded the man throwing in the ball, and if Laettner would have got thrown out for kicking our player, and if Mashburn hadn't have fouled out, and if Rex Chapman hadn't gone to the NBA early, and if we would have waited one more second to hit our basket before the Duke's inbounds play, and if the temperature in the arena had been a little cooler, and if the sun hadn't have got in our eyes, and if we would have eaten supper a little earlier, we would have won that game.

TOUGH SCHEDULE PAYS OFF WITH HIGH RANKING: Indiana is ranked No. 4 in the latest RPI Index with a .695 ranking. Some of that lofty ranking might be in part to IU's tough schedule which is ranked 12th in the nation.

HOOSIERS IN THE POLLS: The Hoosiers are ranked 10th by ESPN/USA Today and Associated Press.

INDIANA HEAD COACH BOB KNIGHT. . . is college basketball's winningest active head coach with 730 victories (all games at the Division I level).
