Re FLC: Maybe I'm too cautious, but I'd probably wait to see where it closes. It's been closing at or near the lows the past couple of days, which is bearish for the next day's opening. Having said that, a nice MACD bullish divergence has formed on the daily charts. I think it's just a matter of how close we are to a turn. The risk IMO is that OSX weakness could push FLC down further. Averaging in at this point may be the best bet for those who want to own FLC.

I've lurked here for quite a while and appreciate your posts.

Could you offer an opinion on RDC. I noticed it wasn't on the list in your profile. I like the debt/equity and p/e of this one and am considering it as a first entry into drillers.

Thanks

RWS

Slider: Looks like the rally failed; we will have wait a little longer for the turn.

My take on the smaller riskier drillers is that you only want to own them though an OS mutual fund. They have much more upside than the majors, but very dangerous to bet much on any one player unless you know the company EXTREMELY WELL.

Slider: We see a lot in the press about major oil companies focusing more of their attention on developing Saudi Arabia's vast reserves. Will such efforts involve much work for oil service companies? Or will they be pretty much left out of the action?
