I'm still watching the ASCT action....

And it isn't giving me a warm fuzzy feeling.... I hope "J"'s sources are good. We'll see....

p.s. Bummer about IMAL. The old adage "timimg is everything" is sure true. I could be a millionaire 10 times over if I'd bought and sold my 'winners' at the right time.

Screwed by Schwab

Not a good day. Started off OK when I took the ONSL gap first thing in the morning. Turned around and jumped into MALL at 48. It started tanking and I bailed at 45 on the bid. Placed the order with Schwab at 9:55 and got confirmation at 10:05 at - can you believe - 37.

Alright it was a market order in a fast market; but you could not get a quote and then place a limit order because by the time the system came back with the quote and you placed the order the stock had moved significantly. And I have a cable modem.

I know, no trading the first 1/2 hour unless you sell into the gap. But I used exactly that approach yesterday with CMGI and it went up 20+ points without looking back. I got it way to late. So today I switch philosophy only to be burned by the execution timing.

The lesson for me is NO MORE Internets in a fast market with SCHWAB. I did complain and they checked time and sales - yea right! It is either MB trading or Executioner. MB is less expensive if you make less than 25 round trips/mth since they prorate the software. Executioner won't prorate. Other than that they appear about the same.

Bad boy.
