I can think of several interested parties: AT&T ALCATEL GE SES/ASTRA Loral itself would be my favorite pick. Actually, the number is about 16% of shares outstanding now I think. I wouldn't mind them buying a chunk of cheap shares and retiring them. I seriously doubt that happens though. More likely is that LMT offers some odd hybrid convertible debt instrument to keep the pressure off the stock.
