More consolidation.Evidently the cost of maintaining a desk is going up. The little broker will find it tough to survive. Advertising is very expensive. However, the whole industry is undergoing a huge change due to the net. Gates is threatening to put listings on the net for free-I have to pay a service for them. The Realtor is in the throes of a struggle to survive. Thank God people still prefer to do business with another human being. The entire home purchase transaction is such an emotional experience that the human touch may survive. By the way,I'm long on CD and have had a substantial position for a long time.Despite the fiasco with CUC Silverman is a force.
