Not one to jump on any Kentucky bandwagon (although if Ashley Judd sat next to me at a game I would be screaming for the Cats), but Duke completely took Kentucky's half court offense away last night. That will not happen twice because Tubby is too good of a coach. The Kentucky team that you saw last night was not the same team that beat Maryland. Like Dorothy says, "There's no place like home."

Duke will get better but they will take a few lumps in the ACC. Brand is already making me sick with the superstar status the refs give him. I'm not on his NBA superstar to be bandwagon because in the Show he gets his crap down low thrown and they don't call the bump fouls. He might need to stay 2 more years to develop the mid-range J.

I think that in the Tourney Kentucky presses more. You need Avery and Langdon winded in the second half so they can't kill you with fectas.

Reasons Kentucky will get better (partial list):

1.) Tubby is notorious for bringing his teams along slowly. Witness his teams at Tulsa and Georgia making it deep into the NCAA tourneys, with 1/10th the talent he has at Kentucky.

2.) Chemistry will improve. These guys have only played together for 12 games! Still feeling each other out.

3.) Tayshaun Prince is a FRESHMAN. He will look like a different player by the end of the year - a force!

4.) Ryan Hogan. Has already had 15 in a game this year. I thought he would get a lot more minutes vs. Duke, since Kentucky missed so many wide-open looks. Hogan's a great shooter, and will hit big shots down the stretch, like Cameron Mills did last year.

5.) Magloire, Saul Smith, Camara, and Allison need only the QT to be much improved.

6.) Like I said before - Kentucky always improves as the year goes on. Got blown out by Arizona early last year, and folks were calling them a .500 team.
