An interesting post on another thread you all may want to be aware of: Message 6937190 AMSC has truly executed well compared to ISCO,CDTS, with SCON playing a distant 2nd. I suspect that AMSC approach differs from that of IMGs. But I've not done enough background work to say that for sure.

A mini review... Frigc... The solution...better than 134a by any objective observer... the result ...lost to a deeply entrenched 134a industry... Kryotech... the solution 100% speed improvement (better than their current 30% improvement... the result...kryotech put it on the back burner Food inspection... the solution...better for detecting salmnonella than any current solutions... the result ...they have sold 2 units IMIG-MRI.... the solution...permanent based magnet mri for poorer countries or hospitals unable to afford expensive systems but incredible quality even though...won a high profile award... the result...Trex Medical scrapped it...for some reason. Maglev... great idea...enormous potential... going nowhere so far Superconducting products...SMES...Transformers etc... 3 years away... There seems to be a disconnect between what IMG expects and anyone else who gets involved.
