Nope nope nope, WHY can they double-count ALL of MUEI's sales? Because 50% is the magic number? Let's pretend that MU sells down to 50.1% ownership of MUEI next quarter, they can still double-dip, but if they sell down to 49.9% the quarter after that, then they suddenly show a drop in sales of three hundred million dollars with nothing to show for it but an asterisk on the balance sheet? That's the part that can't possibly be correct. It's not a bullish/bearish issue.

>>I think tomorrow we see some follow through from todays upward move then a
retracement down to 48-50. That will be a good time to cover shorts or close out
PUTs, ... then... back to business and a retest of last years 60.<<

what happened to that put wreck you gave? based on your current scenario, they are toast... ;-)

pssst: don't ignore supply increases as the only way to lower costs is to DRAMatically increase supply. you did this regarding 1998 and look where that got mu ;-)

btw, the vaunted mu fabs lost money last q. a 25 cent charge for txn makes eps (minus tax flim flam) a negative 5 cents in boise...

ooooooooh, aaaaaaah! ;-)
