Dear Bob: My response to that is this: In the review the author states that storage revenues are expected to TRIPLE over next 3 years. Then later in article says EMC growth rate long term expected to be 27%. Either LONG TERM is REALLY LONG TERM or there is some incongruity here. CEO has PUBLICLY stated that EMC's revenue will triple by 2001. EMC has demonstrated in the past that their revenue grew EVEN FASTER than industry in general as they commanded more market share. On top of that EMC's software sales are growing FASTER THAN KUDZU VINE and that is a high margin business. So all in all, much as I like the Motely Fool I think they dropped the ball here. They seem to be letting their FEAR of a 60 pe ratio to be getting in the way of the FACTS.
Incidentally, for all you YANKEES. The Kudzu vine is a serious threat in the south. It grows so fast you can nearly watch it grow, and chokes out trees etc. JDN
