I had supported Plonk's down viewpoint...and scary enough am beginning to think I support his up-view. This market just doesn't want to go down. In fact I was telling Patrick yesterday that a couple weeks ago I remember thinking this market must be going up because in the face of all the crap news, it was holding firm and climbing slightly. Kinda like when the market holds firm or climbs on negative TICK readings. Nice sign that it is going to go up.

However, that being said, I still think there is one heck of a kick butt short coming up real soon and then the market can go its merry way. Kick butt equals in my mind 50-75 points. Now the way we are going the 50-75 points should bring us back down to the 1250 level! HA HA!

Anyway, I am out of here. See you on Monday for some whale hunting.

Merry Christmas all.

I can provide data on unfilled Sell Gaps per the Larry Williams definition.

Since 1991 there have been 18 of them.

3 in '92, 5 in '96, 4 in 1998. Oddly enough there were none in 1995.

7 occurred on or near record highs AND record closes, 6 occurred near a holiday, all but one occurred as the spoo was on a tear for at least 4 days.

The days with these gaps in 1998 are 2/2, 9/14, 11/23, 11/27.

Conversely during the same period there were 62 filled Sell Gaps.
