NEWS RELEASE TRANSMITTED BY CANADIAN CORPORATE NEWS FOR: DYNAMIX CORPORATION ASE SYMBOL: DYX FEBRUARY 2, 1999 Production Commencement in Kentucky; New Director CALGARY, ALBERTA--Dynamix Corporation is pleased to announce the commencement of gas production in Johnson County, Kentucky. Three wells are currently on restricted production at 500 mcf/day (DYX 25 percent) due to compressor capacity limitations. An additional compressor will be placed on stream by the end of February that will provide for a total production of at least 1 mmcf/day. Two additional wells are awaiting completion and will be tied in by the end of February. This will represent the completion of the first phase of development of the project. Further to this stage being reached, the Company has also enlisted a reputable engineering firm in the United States to commence evaluation of the properties. This will indicate the size of the reserves and anticipated cash flows. The Company would also like to welcome Mr. Ken Murray to the Board of Directors. Mr. Murray is a professional geologist with over 30 years of industry experience, particularly in shallow gas. He has held senior management positions with Sulpetro Limited, Nugas Limited and, currently, Q Energy Limited where he is a founder and holds the office of Vice President of Exploration. Mr. Murray brings considerable technical and business experience to the Board. The Company would also like to announce, in reference to its September 23, 1998 press release, that it will not be participating in the Missisippian farm-in multi-zone gas well in Strachan.
