It is my feeling that Dakota Resources represents another "golden" opportunity for investors to acquire stock in the early stages of a company's development. According to the following news release, this company has backing from New York investment banking interests. This suggests they have undergone close scrutiny and passed the test. In other words, they must have good properties, good assays, and an excellent plan to develop their interests. The share price has traded in the 30c to 50c range for several months. It has moved up on high volume in the last week. Yesterday's news release follows:

Tue 24 Sept 96 NEWS RELEASE

Mr J. Robert Bateman reports

The company will devote a significant portion of its corporate resources in 1997 to the exploration and exploitation of high-grade gold deposits in Mexico. The company had previously announced that it had been informed by a NY-based investment banking house that its mining projects in Mexico and Bolivia had been reviewed and approved for a major US-based underwriting of the company's shares. The decision to focus on Mexico at the present time is primarily based on the fact that the operation will be in closer proximity to the company's corporate offices in Calgary. A secondary consideration was the fact that the mobile recovery unit in Mexico will allow the company to rapidly exploit a high-grade deposit and then move on to the next one.
