Sudan/ Petroleum. Khartoum, Dec. 27 (SUNA)--
Director the Sudanese Petroleum Pipeline Project Abdul-Rahman Suleiman affirmed that implementation work at the project has reached advanced stages and satisfactorily progressing according to the plans and programmes.

In a press statement to SUNA, Suleiman stated that twenty teams are currently working on installation of the pipeline at three sectors of Sinkat, Al-Jaili and El-Obied along the pipleline's course which extends from Hijliege oil field up to Basha'ir export terminal on the Red Sea.

He further declared that, up to the current December, over 1097 kms of
the 1610 kms pipeline have been completed . He affirmed that the work at the project's other utilities as well as Basha'ir port is also proceeding satisfactorily.
