Good news, my computer arrived 12/24. It would have arrived 12/23 but bad weather here prevented it so I picked it up from FedEx the next day.

Thanks Minotaur for super service!

When I plugged it in, he reported no hard drive, so off with the cover to fix loose connections and am now up and running.
In replacing the cables it looks like I mixed up the IDE1 and IDE2 as it is now reporting the ZIP drive as Primary Master and the C drive as Secondary Master with the CD as Secondary Slave.
Could this cause any problem? Please advise?

The 300a CPU was tested at 450 2.0v and the computer came set up that way. I seemed to be getting a lot of blue screens so backed it down to 300mhz for a few days. I remember seeing somewhere a little program to burn in the machine. Could someone point me in that direction?

I'm sure I'll be back in the future with more questions but in the meantime recommend Minotaur and appreciate very much the advice from this thread!
