Kimball-Im kind of jealous "in a caring way" that you get all the credit I am the one who has been in Dell for ten years-.You are a good DELLHEAD leader and I submit as one of your fellow cheerleaders-P.S.--when I was a sr/vp of investments at ML I was told by the manager Ben Harnad-Tulsa,Ok. (1990) "to quit buying DELL;To buy only stocks that were on the ML selected list"-ThatI should only buy ML recommended ones like CPQ (CPQ was and still is a corporate finance client of ML's.This is the the reason why you always hear the "know-nothing cheerleaders on CNBC(their MM guest)talkingp CPQ ' it's IN--(ML sees to it!!!!)Dell it seems never will be.---ML and I soon parted company-I started my own branch office 1991.

Kemble,

On my birthday July 15, 1997, 17 months ago, on the advice of several on this thread I bought my first shares in dell. Since then it has gone up over 360% and has become about 25% of my portfolio. I desperately want to stay long on DELL. My only misgivings at this point are MD's silence over the past month. By this time into the QT he's given us some indication of what is coming, and it's been great.
Have I missed all the postings re his comments or are there so very few that it is a concern.

Along with thousands of others I appreciate your participation in this thread and hope you have reason to be positive on DELL

Thanks,
JimB
