Pezz.

Perhaps my greatest aggravation with Clinton is a failure to DISCUSS issues (reference your prior post). With Clinton every issue is a Crusade where there are victims and villains with the biggest victim being truth. Rather than having constructive debates and discussion we have spin campaigns that paint anyone who disagrees as wanting to starve children and kill the old folks. This approach is infuriating and totally destructive to national progress.

This approach is facilitated by a fawning press. Sure the press covers Monica but they do not critically cover the policy BS. For instance, all money is to save Social Security - then we have a ton of legislative spending initiatives, eg 100,000 teachers - each of which get paid $10,000 each for one year.

Now, we may have the Social Security debate this next year. I am sure there will be no proposal from Clinton but lots of rhetoric about evil Republicans.

Yes, I am one who despises Clinton. I see in him all that is evil in politics. It is so unfortunate that the scandal that gets attention is Monica. So many others, especially the campaign fund raising scandal that even the New York Times gets nowhere with, are worthy of impeachment.

So, Moniyhan and Byrd will provide cover for Clinton. The great senior statesmen of the Senate fall in line. How sad.

Bob

Clinton doesn't honestly discuss the issues either. He tries to use the faux town hall format, where they bring up the horror stories to try to mobilize the public. It backfired on him in the HMO reform town hall that he set up. The cases they brought up turned out to be false. They had been offered treatment and refused.

He's doing the same thing now with Social Security reform. Their scare stories are women and their benefits. Never mind that they outlive men by 5 to 15 years and collect for a longer period. Never mind that the benefits formula is 'progressive' and the returns favor those who pay less into the system. Never mind that most of them paid only 2-4% FICA taxes while they were working.

Look you pathetic turkey If I were A subscriber to Hustler it would be none of your God damn business! Got it ! This bulls**t of yours is just a pathetic attempt to intimidate those of us who accuse the Republicans of hypocrisy of speaking our mind.Forget it anybody on these threads can see through it.

You are a funny little person. Always resorting to insults when you cannot make a point. I find it curious that you are willing to use the phrase "God damn" but when you want to say "bullshit" you take out the "h" and the "i". Is this your idea of decency? You sir are a credit to the Clinton/Flynt democrats. Anybody on these threads can see through what? An opposing view, you get upset when someone returns your insults, tough. This is typical of the far left, can't convince people that their boy is anything but a scumbag so the insults start flying and they try to direct the debate to what some Republican has done. Alec Baldwin is a perfect example of the brainless crap that the left puts out, "...let's stone all the Republicans...". Real intelligent! The guy can't think on his own, must have a cue card in front of him.

Enjoy your next issue of Hustler.

Max

pezz, as the Democrats fill this thread with deeply intellectual posts like "ha ha ha ha" and the Porno party Democratic leadership sides up with the countries leading pornographer to defend their man. I find it highly amusing to have read your diatribe.

Yes, you are correct. This issue is no more about Larry Flynt than it is about extramarital sex. It's about willingly allowing the President of the United States to get away with perjury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. If the Presidents spin team would at least come clean and admit that he committed perjury. Maybe, just maybe, Republicans would accept censure and end this. But he won't admit to that which is obvious to anyone with half a brain. He lied, committed perjury and obstruction of justice. He then used the highest office in the land to discredit those who would tell the truth. This whole episode would disappear from the American political landscape in two weeks if he resigned like he should. Do Democrats have such little faith in Al Gore to allow that to happen? How far are they willing to drag the country down in order to save their man Bill? Is he really worth it pezz?

Unfortunately the Democratic leadership and people who support the White House spin machine in their covering up the lies refuse to tell him to tell the truth. So we have a continuation of 80 something pages of lies to Congress.

Now in order to end this, the deals are being hammered out in the backrooms of the Senate. Some have suggested we should accept censure only if the President is given immunity after he tells the truth to criminal prosecution. Why should we make deals in order to have the President tell the simple TRUTH? He should be telling the truth because it's the right thing to do. Not in order to save his butt in the last hour.

Truth shouldn't be some wild card we pull out of the deck in order to save ourselves from political destruction. It should be the first rule of law. We need to trust our leaders to care about it's principle.

Do you really believe if the President had said he had an affair in the Oval office without all the lying we would be going through this spectacle today? Of course not! And only a blind partisan Democrat would answer it any differently.

Michael
