Aggie, Didn't take it that way. Just sharing some immediate thoughts triggered by your observation on Ramadan affecting military plans in the mid-east. By all means, continue to share your ideas here. There could be something brewing in the Iraq area. Of course, that statement could be made at anytime over the last 20, 30, 40, or ?? years. One of my favorite places to get information of this sort is Stratfor. Here is their latest report on the possibility of Saddam being challenged at home stratfor.com. Evidently he is in the process of moving various units around in an attempt to deal with an out right rebellion in the south. I've often thought about what he would do if he were to lose out. No doubt he would do what Hitler and he himself did, destroy as much as possible during the exit. Recall what he did to Kuwait? And if the rebellion in the south gains momemtum, what will become of the access of Iraq oil to the sea? This morning I read of a statement made by the VP of Iraq saying they would no longer tolerate the enforcement of the no-fly zone by British, American, and French aircraft. Is this just boasting for the home audience or is this an escalation of Iraqi resolve? Regards, Jack Simmons
