If indeed the company is headed deep into the server-independent storage, when can we expect to see the fruits of their labor? 99?
How fast can they bring these products to market, or are they already really close?
It seems that if some of those patents are recent, then we may be looking at 00?
If products, not news announcements, are real in 99, it would take some time for these to hit the bottom line; however, your point about the differences between DELL and CPQ are very valid........
CPQ owns technology, much like IBM did/does!

Hmmm......

Now all of a sudden CPQ is the predecessor to EMC, StorageTek, Network Appliances, Sun, IBM, DELL and owns the seminal patents on server independent storage. It is hard to believe!

Now all they have to do is execute.
