Joey, <The OEMs are competing against each other, not Intel.>
As you might know, a part of competitive strategy
for an OEM is ability to find cheaper sources
for materials. In a solo-source Intel environment
they would not have that freedom. Therefore
it is apparent for everyone but intelaboffoons
that Intel is the enemy.

<Darwin was right...In business, only the strongest survive>
Speaking about economics, you probably wanted
to mention K.Marx instead of Darwin, right?
If their theories would be true for economics,
the world would be ruled by communists by now,
and you would get a cup of soup and pair of pants
in compensation for your labor, barely enough
to sustain your ability to work.

BTW, dinosaurs were also much stronger
than mice...

Joey, when should we (and the fastest growing segment of computer users) expect KNI to show up in the "low end" Celeron?

"Darwin was right...In business, only the strongest survive"

You got the quote wrong. It is ...."survival of the fittest". The strongest doesn't mean fittest.

Time will only tell, who is the fittest.

HB

Joey Smith:

<<In business, only the strongest survive, and Intel is a hell-of-a-lot stronger than AMD.>>

Big and stupid. I agree. Whatever happen to the original Celeron?
Whatever happen to slot 1 ? Why socket 370? Wasn't Andy of Intel said sub-1000 PC doesn't exist? Guess what? Sub-1000 notebook is coming very soon. AMD will make that happen.

<< CPQ will dump AMD in a second if everyone wants Celeron for the low-end, or KNI instructions, etc.>>

Keep living in your dreamland. KNI is all hype. It is late to the market and offers little advantage over 3DNOW for the price Intel is asking for.
