Dear DCF,
In my opinion the Lord was addressing people like Emile and CHris. They become so self righteous they misrepresent him as unloving and the good news of the Gospel is thrown out the window in an effort to prove how evil people are. Most of the problems the Lord had with the leaders (and not the people as a group) was that they were blind guides they refused to come into the light and led others to do the same. IMO Emile is blocking people from coming into the light to see who Jesus really is. We are all evil basically and depend on his righteousness. The Jews are supposed to be provoked to jealousy over the way we live our lives. Do you think anyone could be jealous of what Emile is showing here?
True evangelism is more than words but is a demonstration of the way we live our lives and a glow of the light that is in us.
The Rev. 2 verse to me is addressing believers that claim to be the completion of Judaism or spiritual Jews and are lying and are following satan in their hate for that is not from God but from satan.
All people that are not accepting the love of Jesus are at a great loss IMO, but I am not the judge he is. I am only told to tell them the truth of what I believe and love them as he loves me.
I hope you had a good Christmas,
Nancy

Dear Dan;

Doesn't Emile claim to be the true Israel? IMHO Emile represents the people Yeshua was talking about.

Did you ever look over the link to the prophesy concerning Israel's return to the land and their control over Jerusalem? The fulfillment of prophecy to the day show that indeed God is still faithful to his promise to the Jewish people. Was it Christians who were returned to the land of promise or Jews? In claiming to be the true Israel of God, Emile speaks falsely.

1Jo 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

The least Emile could do to show love would be to apologize.

Jesus fulfills the prophecies and establishes the New Covenant.

1. Jesus is promised through the prophets.

[Isa 42:1] Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the nations.
[Isa 42:2] He will not cry or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;
[Isa 42:3] a bruised reed he will not break, and a dimly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.
[Isa 42:4] He will not fail or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.
[Isa 42:6] "I am the LORD, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you; I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations,
[Isa 42:7] to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.

2. Jesus fulfills the prophecies as saviour and healer.

[Acts 10:34] And Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality,
[Acts 10:35] but in every nation any one who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
[Acts 10:36] You know the word which he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),
[Acts 10:37] the word which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:
[Acts 10:38] how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

3. God reveals the Trinity during Jesus' baptism. For the first time in revelation history, God reveals Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit--three persons but ONE God.

[Mat 3:13] Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him.
[Mat 3:14] John would have prevented him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
[Mat 3:15] But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he consented.
[Mat 3:16] And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him;
[Mat 3:17] and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."[the Father]
-------------------------------------------------------

Jesus has fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies and established the New Covenant in His blood. He has opened up a new and living way to the throne of God through his Crucifixion and Resurrection.

Emile
No man can now come to the Father except through Jesus the Christ.
