On Topic: December short interest increased slightly to 21 million shares as of Dec 10th. Analysts consensus estimate increased by another 3 cents to $0.70. (0.70x 172) - 10.8 = $109.6 million So in order to meet expectations, earnings would need to come in at around $110 million excluding one time gain from ARM. For comparison here are the earnings per share analysts are expecting from other PC makers this quarter.
