This is a good question and I don't exactly have the answer. It must be the glass half full theory.
However, I think it would end up the same. You put one X at the beginning price and then wait to see if it moves up or down. You would be able to tell within a few trading days which way it is going. You would either add to your X or start a column of O's.

Maybe I should change my SI name to Dr. Jan Pnf.
