I think your best choice is AB Watley.

<<I work during the day so I have a hard time "daytrading" (well I do it with one eye anyway)... what I would like is a recommendation on the best brokerage for after hours trading.
I.e. if I come home at 5:30 and I see RMII is going to be on CNBC tommorow, and I want to buy it after hours before the huge gap up.. what brokerage would be best for this sort of activity? Would you advise MB? >>

Happy New Year, Mark, thanks for your kind words and please forgive me for my tardiness. As another poster pointed out, afterhour trading on stocks like RMII are usually very thin, and you would have to pay a premium for it. Generally speaking, the premarket activities, especially during 9:15 - 9:30, are more telling and indicative of the open.

If you are looking for afterhour and premarket trades, MB is as fine as anyone else. MB does have touch tone trading available, but you can call a live representative and place a trade for the same commission schedule; they are very efficient, usually picking up the phone within 4 rings.

MB has yet offered any Stop orders. So if you are at work during the day, you probably would need to monitor the price very often.

After reviewing your needs, options and choices, I would think Steve Goldman's firm probably will meet your needs the best. Their commission schedule is a little higher, but their customer service and dedication are so exemplary that the extra fee is in reality a great bargain. Here is a link to his thread:
