Droogies, the NDA is on strike- SPILL THE BEANS! What web portal ideas are you thinking?

WebDrone's GREAT Web Portal ideas:

10. Familiar "Etch-a-sketch" navigation knobs.

9. Auction off fine gear such as Apple ][e monitors and old copies of "Dark Castle."

8. Sell "Microsoft Sucks!" T-shirts and coffee mugs on line.

7. Home of the "Microsoft- Ask Avie" website

6. $29.99 per month. * 67 monthly payments of $29.74. 14.89% Annual Percentage Rate subject to increase or decrease. Payments deferred for the first 120 days subject to interest of $35.44, and loan origination fee of 54.13 charged on day 91. No prepayment penalty. On approved credit. Based on Estimated Retail Price of $1299. Tax and shipping not included.

5. Whenever you log in, all the dogs in your neighborhood start howling.

4. Screen frequently freezes and message comes up "Abort, Retry, Fail?"

3. Three words: No NT Servers

2. Uh, sell books and stuff- at a loss.

1. Number One Web Portal Idea- "hype it to the moon."

Nothing is for certain. People shouldnt knock off Apple and an aggressive web idea too quickly. What about Apple hooking up with someone like Disney to generate enthusiasm for a true family PC market. The market for the internet appliance/casual PC is definitely there. Disney's GO Network with Infoseek opens an avenue that could somehow get Apple and most importantly, the Mac OS platform, off its feet and into the mainstream. What developer of software wouldnt write Mac software backed by a marketing prowess of Disney?

I like Apple, and I cant think of a better way to legitimize itself than to hook up with an entertainement congolmerate, flaunt the iMac as the true family PC, and just get people excited about the product.

Just a hypothetical of course. As disclaimer, I own DIS and think it is a solid buy at this low 30 range.
