Tonyt - Where are you getting your info from? I show that last split was on 8-3-98 and that it was 2-1 not 3-2.
stockmaster.com

The stock was at about $86, it's now at $275.5.

They disappointed with a 2:1 last time. It was trading around 200 pre-split on the announcement (July 7th 1998).

I remember the day well, I had my market order to sell at the open, it grapped up and dropped quickly. I was so happy with myself since I thought I picked the all time top perfectly, until it blew past it a couple of months later.

I think YHOO is more conservative them (ahem) AMZN when it comes to splits, so no way we'll see a 4:1. 3:1 seems likely since it'll put us around the same post split share price as the previous one, but only due to the massive run up recently, so who knows, maybe a 2:1...

Sell the news for sure. I'll bet we'll see some downgrades on valuation, lot of good that did AMZN though. Depends on what happens between now and mid January too..

James.
