r. edwards - You're right. I didn't mean to imply that all bulk buying clubs don't carry some first line merchandise. But they do have a combination of first line, overstock, last year's model, flawed, etc.

The real point is the RDIM club will not be addressing the bulk buying market segment, and all merchandise will be first line and a named brand. For example, you cannot buy first line Ethan Allen furniture in Sams or Costco. Depending on the RDIM partnerships, this is a possibility, as well as Henderdon, etc., for slightly above cost. Can you buy a Whirlpool washing machine in Sams? See what I mean about RDIM going after a different type of market altogether? Therefore, the membership fee would be relative to the market type.
