Thanks MH (agree in general that timing does not work just that old habits die hard)...question for you--when, in your opinion, might large companies allow their employees to trade at least a portion of their own 401k contributions in individual stocks thru a discount broker? Integration of tracking/reporting should be no problem. I understand downside with risk & potential for obsessive employees to trade their working days away but what do you think...after all it is THEIR (employees)$s. Reason I ask is i am seeing discount net brokers (particularly Ameritrade) as among safer fringe internet plays. If this 401k thing were to fly it would be a boon to them
