To all courtesy of a Yahoo heads up. Defense analyst has Alliant as one of his top picks:

multexinvestor.com

As for whether SI, or other threads, can "swing" VLNC's stock price....well....my only comment is VLNC is a thinly traded stock in less than 720 hands. So to the extent those hands read, and react to, what is placed here and elsewhere.......

Happy holidays everyone!

John~

Dennis: It looks to me at least one of the "red flags" I raised concerning the conference call may well have been correct. Yes, I sold at $7.75 (shares I had held for months) and yes, the stock did go higher after I sold, but not 60%.

The red flags I raised were Lev's refusal to acknowledge that Line 1 was providing production samples (subsequently confirmed, in my view, by the S-3) and Lev's supposed ignoranace of the terms of the financing (subsequently made moot by Castle Creek's agreement to waive these terms from the first tranche).

Again, in my view my first red flag was on the money. I also suspect that the reason Castle Creek was amenable to changing the terms of the first tranche was that they were able to short into the rally and lock in profits on the first tranche. Thus, while my second red flag became moot, I don't think it was an unreasonable concern to have at the time.
