<<But this matters not, since Eski says we're all smokin' something funny. ggg.>>

Not at all Ken I respect the opinions of those here, may not agree with you all. I'm not in denial that a problem exist, just don't believe it's going to be as bad as the Gary North's of the would like you to believe. When it's all said and done Mr North may want to run to the hills because he's going to look like the biggest jackass when society doesn't fold up.

As far as me being prepare, living in Miami, Fl and having to live thru Hurricane Andrews, my hurricane supplies would more then adequate
get me thru a Y2K crisis if it ever came to that. I have spend thousands, Generatos,Propane Gas, Propane Ovens, Lights, Batteries
Gas Tanks, Storm Stutters, and most important FOOD and Water and the list go on. My Wife is a prepariness freak, take a look in our master bedroom closet, cases of toilet paper and what have you, must be a women thing I guess I'm going to have to wipe my ass often during Y2K or a Hurricane. So I'll be prepare one way or the other, but I don't beleive it get that bad.

I believe we will have power the nation as a whole. FP&L(Forida Power & Light) hads alreay informed us that there ready and don't expect any disruptions to power in the my area. If the Country has power as a whole and the food chain isn't disrupted I believe this will be just a minor bump on the road, again just my opinion. I may be dead wrong.

The biggest thing I fear is all the people out there scaring those who don't know any better, then panic will set in, run on banks and super markets etc, and that will cause a real problem.

CROSSFIRE (CNN): Y2K - Positive or Negative Impact on Economy?

Dennis Grabow (CEO, Millennium Investment Corp) was in D.C. Tuesday filming a Crossfire segment on Y2K and economy. Show will air tonight (Wednesday, December 30) ... or on/around January 1 ... he wasn't sure when.

Grabow's in Yardeni's camp regarding 70%+ chance of Recession. He's debating someone from Morgan Stanley who says Y2K will be good for economy and stock market.
