Calvin: I don't have the personal relationship with Ken Potashner that I had with Terry or Gary, so I'm not yet fully in the loop, but I'm working on getting an in person meeting with Ken. More on that as it devoleps.

As to the S3/Intel deal, as you pointed out I did hit the nail on the head and when I made those posts I was really flamed pretty badly. Anyway Intel will never buy S3 as far as everything I have ever heard. So I would say thats a pretty safe bet. However, they won't need to. By having S3 in Intel's pocket, Intel can control both the direction of the graphics and mircoproccser business, thus continue to control marketshare. S3 will be Intel's "boy". As a by product S3 will do very well(unless they piss off Intel and don't play by Intels rules which I think is unlikely, * mainly because Intel had a great deal to with Potashner being installed as CEO)(and just about make it near impossible for other graphic companies to compete. Look for major consolation of other companies in an attempt to compete, which the ones that survive will only have a nich market,(very high top end low volume or cheap commodity) the main stream market being "owned" by S3 & Intel.

PS. Its very interesting to note that the major investors are moving out of the other graphic companies (ATI, TDFX) but are doing so in ways not to create a panic or disrupt the stock price, but issuing what I call rear view mirror PR statements. The future of these companies will be greatly affected although currently they are doing great, but all that will change over the next year. As you know in the stock market its not where you have been but where your going.
