Yes, Drudge is no different from the Enquirer. And quite possibly even worse, because at least with the Enquirer, most people know that the stuff is "for entertainment purposes only"...

Also, Drudge is a one-trick pony. Take away Clinton, and he has nothing to write about. Contrast this with the Enquirer which covers the whole "gamut" -- from Hubble Telescope photographing heaven, to Demi Moore adopting a space-alien baby! :-)

<<Bill Vaughn and DMA, actually, what I recall with Drudge and this comet collide retraction etc. is that the established media did not cover the story. >>

Missed the Drudge story but did see a piece where the earth will be going through a belt of asteroids in a few years. A major collision is probable.

Michelle, when are you going to stop spreading unsubstantiated hate rumors? The media DID NOT report about Drudge reporting the comet/meteor scare. The media reported about the impending event, like Drudge did, and sourced astronomers, like Drudge did.

Geez, even a quick search of AP news wires would have cleared that up for you. Here are a few that pop up:

WASHINGTON (AP) _ It's not time to panic, but Earthlings need to keep an

could even smash into the planet, causing widespread destruction,

So now, are you going to tell me Drudge is an astronomer? Or that he's comparable to the Enquirer? You and your ignorant friends just can't stand the fact that his reporting is 99% accurate, especially his political reporting.
