CFTC allows NYMEX to make changes to gold options

NEW YORK, Dec 30 (Reuters) - The Commodity Futures Trading Commission gave New York Mercantile Exchange the green light to ammend its gold options contract so that trading months and strike prices can be added by resolution of the board of directors of the exchange, NYMEX announced Wednesday.

With the approval of the ammendments, the exchange board passed a resolution to add strike prices of up to $400 in the February 2000 contract month, a strike price of $400 in the December 1999 contract month, and $390 and $400 strike prices in the June 2000 contract month.

The exchange will begin listing the additional prices on January 11.

The lowest common denominator in politics is sex. Who would the women of this country sooner bed with, slick Willy or Ken Starr?
One shows .... the other describes, how it is done.
No contest, hence the polls.

Well Jim, I'm not sure you are right. If I worked for a company that invested recklessly and make a lot of money when things went the company's way and then when things go wrong I sucker the government into bailing my company out, I think I would be entitled to a big bonus. After all how many people get to keep their profits and have the government eat their losses. These guys could work for me anytime.

Live long and prosper,

Little joe
