Yes, I have a different opinion.

In the past two years, I have stated AMD's technology got ahead of themselves. They would have a learning curve to follow to get back to profit. Unfortunately, most of the shareholders got personal and attacked (not my assessment) me personally on several occasions. This indeed is exactly what I have been saying.

Now, I have observed a flood of K6-2 in the retail channel. I remember lack of any K6 when 350K/quarter, a trickle when 1.5M/Q, and a healthy flow when 3M/Q. From my humble observation, I would place total number of K6/K6-2 close to Maxwell's estimate of 5.8M. In fact, I would go beyond his estimate to 6M. As far as ASP goes, I just bought a K6-2/333 for $100 a month ago. So, I have to say the ASP is going to be lower than the consensus of $100. I would say $80. This alone assuming non-K6 business breaking even would place an EPS at $0.30. However, since LVEL and ADI have recovered very nicely this quarter, AMD's communication product might just surprise the analysts. I would throw in another $0.10 to make a total ESP of $0.40.

We shall see.
