Michael,

RE:He is not a good product "Quality" businessman, he is an "anything for the Buck"

Gates is not in business to make software, he is in business to make money. Producing quality software is a means to that end. If he fails to produce the quality software, he will fail to make money.

RE:if you recall, previously got the US in trouble in the Auto Industry until we woke up.

That is a good point. In the sixties the American car companies produced the best cars for the money IMO. They also produced the best TV's, Radios etc. But in the seventies that changed, the imports, especially from Japan, were shipping very high quality cars and products for the money IMO. Well by 1980, Chysler was on life support and GM, Ford were looking a bit jaded. Moral of the story is the consumer will select the best, from the alternatives offered. GM, Ford and Chrysler have since got there act together.

Why can't SUN offer something better?
Why can't IBM offer something better? What happened to OS/2?
Why didn't SUNW or ORCL buy APPL and give the consumer a better choice? After all isn't MSFT just a bunch of jokers?

The answer is because they can't offer anything better, so they complain to the government. It is a facade.
