"Way back when" when Microsoft was a big loser

I heard a lot of talk about that company up in Redmond. They had a PE of about infinity. No market fundamentals. The experts said a lot of stuff that really made sense to me.

AOL is starting to look a lot like the giant in the making. Their product isn't that great (dos was a joke as we all know now). In spite of it all, they have about a billion in cash to start putting together something that works for a whole bunch of people.

If history is the prologue, AOL may be the expression of the next steps to come. I hope they're up to the task. They've survived so far with some sort of a Model T. What's going to happen when they really do something good?

Larry...I think you are Short AOL or you REALLY want AOL bad and wished it were down to 100.....I say you won't see it....There's too many things going to be happening soon.

1) Broadband deal(s) Announced.
2) Excellent Earnings Announced.
3) 3/1 or 2/1 Split Announced.

I think all of this is coming in January....You won't see 100, but you might see 200.

Regards, George

I hope you're right Larry, this will give me another chance to bulk up on my AOL. You got to rememba Wall Street likes to promote AOL during the weekend. I'm more eager to buy AOL now than ever before because the great bear analyst are shouting tulips & bubbles again. The last time they shouted tulips or bubbles was in the first week of December.
That's when AOL was trading somewhere around $83.00
Yahoo $183.00
Amazon $185.00
Ebay $187.00

Thursday, Dec 23/98
America Online, the king of the internet......AOL $148.00
Yahoo $244.00
Amazon $321.00
Ebay $252.00
