Cirruslvr, the difference is that AMD's price cut is on their fastest chip, the K6-2 400. Intel's price cuts are on their low-end chips, the Celerons. To be fair, Intel also slashed prices on the high-end Pentium II chips, but the Pentium II 450 MHz is still being sold at a healthy $500. The only thing that kept Intel from selling even more Pentium II processors at that price was perhaps a misjudgement of the high demand this quarter. Tenchusatsu
