Saying that MSFT is asleep at the wheel is probably not correct. It's impossible to do everything well, although sometimes MSFT appears to me to be making the fatal mistake of trying, and they have a pretty good business already... The opportunities coming in software are obviously huge, and I'm quite happy about the future of the Oracle that I hold, but I won't be that surprised if 10 years from now the big story was something that I haven't even thought of today. And I think that MSFT will manage to make a lot more money provided they get their corporate meglomania under control.
