*The Parable of the Wedding Feast* Crossing reference to John the water pots were there for ceremonial washing of hands. Or they could have been there because the the Jews would oft wash hands or other vessels. So we had 6 pots holding 25 to 30 gallons of water each for a total 150 to 180 gallons of water. When Mary told the servants to fill the pots with water they had to be wondering what he was going to do with that much cleaning water for they had no idea of what Christ was intending to do. In how many ways do we fill our water pots today ? When we are expecting a little do we get a little ? When we ask the Lord for a blessing dare to put a number on it. Do you have a wedding coming up ? How much would 150 gallons of wine cost ? approx 600 bottles would be worth at 12 to 14 dollars per bottle for a nice chardonay would be 7000 to 8000 dollars. Do you have a need for 7000 to 8000 dollars . Who knows ? Fill up your water pots with water you may just get your blessing. How often do we limit our blessings because we are not obedient to the Holy Spirit. You say the Holy Spirit has been leading you to give an amount equal to your car or house or credit card payment. Go ahead and do it. God may want to pay off those credit cards or house or car.Remember God is an abundant God. Would you rather work hard for 30 years to pay off a 30 year mortgage to brag about how hard you worked for 30 years to pay off the house...or ...would you rather brag for 30 years about how God paid off your mortgage in one year.?? POINT 2 : The governor of the feast did not know or have knowledge of the miracle but the servants did. God reveals His truths so many times to the common people first. DONT YOU DARE CONDEMN YOURSELF for your social status. You are God's elect, His preference. Remember that the covenant of faith with Abram happened 24 years before God changed his name to Abraham, made him a jew, established His covenant with him by the sign of circumcism. The apostle Paul explains that from the very beginning God intended to establish faith in Christ as the basis for justification. The law which was established 24 years after served to to condemn and teach us the reason and need for a savoir. Point 3: The governor of the feast proclaimed that the best was saved for last. How often is the worlds message GET THE BEST FIRST. Charge it. Lease it.Don't clean and press. Buy New. God has your future in His hands. Many times His way is to save the best for last. In this way His blessings grow. They continue to flow. Do you want a God that turns on. Then turns off. Then turns on again. No I don;t either. Do not get ahead of God. The blessing turn off. Stay in tune with God and let the blessings flow continuously. He has a certain amount of blessings already set aside for you. Do not get ahead of your blessings. Don't get ahead of the flow. If you do you will have to wait until the blessings start flowing again. Make it easy on yourself. Live on what God provides. Final point: For true miracles God will never ask you for something that you intended to give anyway. He will ask you to give something that you had designated for another purpose and it may very well be that it is not for a routine use or a normal use. Be obedient and give what God instructs. It may be a piece of junk to you or a true treasure but whatever it is take time to listen to the spirit and watch your blessings grow. In Christ...gregor
