hard to believe it almost doubled its highest volume ever, on what should be a fairly slow day, not to mention breaking out to a new high...this is THE stock to talk about over the long weekend...looking forward to Monday. Happy New Year y'all

A dismal scientist I take it? Oh well I won't hold that against you.<vbg>

Now seriously I didn't think the analysis was all that meaningful for the very reasons you have stated.Anyway the following could be very powerful forces to move the stocks in my opinion:-

1)The CBS name.
2)Some powerful Underwriters.
3)The CBS MarketWatch-A powerful premium website that the investing people are familiar with.

Quite credible unlike some of the other InterNuts stocks that we all are familiar with.

Monday should be an extremely good day for the market as 1999 is beginning to shape up much better than previously thought. There are signs of life coming out of Japan,a few countries in S.E.Asia are stabilizing and may come out of the recession (Thailand,S.Korea and may be even Philippines),China,India,Taiwan,Australia are doing good.New Zealand just came out of a slight recession.Singapore though in a mild recession has taken corrective measures to get out of the predicament. The semiconductor and Chip guys are supposed to grow at about 16% next year after having their sales shrink quite a bit in the last few years, the Computer guys are kicking ass. Here in the U.S there is hardly any inflation, job market is pretty tight, wage inflation is under control, the economy is growing and projected to grow around 2-2.5%. Yeah looking good to me, I say Monday should be good, ooops I forgot the mother of all good indicators-LOW INTEREST RATES.

Now carry on and go make merry don't let me hold you back.<g>
