Actually, I think that on-line ordering has its uses. I just take offense when a company will only give a 10% discount on an item that every other retailer, online or not, gives 50%. This is not the way for a retailer to build customer trust. This sort of arrogance could lead to their loss of market share.

btw, this just hit me: Did Bezos plan the Jan 4 split as a pre-emptive strike against stockholders waiting till '99 to defer gains? Could backfire if a lot of stockholders plan to sell 'just 1/3rd' Monday.
