It's unclear whether she means "in addition to..." [abortion, RU-486, etc.], or "instead of..." [abortion, RU-486, etc.]. Either way, there is absolutely nothing in her statement to support your (obviously biased) interpretation. Ill even go you one better. There is a period of time, and I dont know what it is Ill look it up, where a fertilized egg is not even a "fetus". It is only that, a fertilized egg. That is the period of time that RU-486 addresses, immediately after fertilization, thats why it is called the morning after pill. Since I dont believe a 2 mos old fetus is a baby, I surely dont believe a 2-hr old fertilized egg is a baby. I see no reason for anyone to be opposed to RU-486 availability and imo it is yet another control issue on the part of the religious right. As I say, if Falwell and Limbaughs wifeypoos want to avoid RU-486, fine by me. But I want that option available for my family.
