<<OT - Maxwell what is this Eizo 20" monitor? How good is it? Sounds expensive, must be worth it?

I was considering picking up two ViewSonic PS790 19" monitors one of these days at about $550, when I buy a new 450+ MHz PC.

The Eizo is a better monitor?>>

I have never heard of Eizo monitors till I first saw it on Onsale. I then did some research on Eizo. They are currently have the best monitor in the world ranked by PC Magazine and Windows Magazine using mainly by professionals who are doing CAD. All of their monitors are Triniton using arperture grill (a technology from Sony) instead of shadow mask for better brightness and color. I couldn't believe the quality of the monitor when I received it and turned it on. It is truly the best. If you want to know the price and info. go to pricewatch.com and eizo.com.

How did Onsale get them for so cheap? Apparently 20" model is not popular. It is too close to the 19" model and people rather get the 21" over the 20". Thus Eizo is discontinuing their 20" line in favoring of the 21" models. The 21" Eizo is selling for $2000 at retail!

ViewSonic PS790 19" monitors are OK but the PT series (stand for Trinitron) is better. The PT series is much more expensive than the PS series. I am using PS790 at work and have seen PT810. I can tell you Eizo monitors are in a class by itself. You get what you paid for.
